Flu Vaccination Campaign 2008/2009
The seasonal flu campaign starts at the beginning of October.

The department of health recommends that flu vaccinations should be offered to
All aged 65 years and over
All with a chronic disease i.e.
- respiratory illnesses including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- Chronic heart disease
- Chronic kidney disease
- Chronic liver disease
- Neurological disease
- Diabetes
- Immunosuppression due to chemotherapy, HIV, High dose steroids, asplenia, (no spleen)
- All living in a long stay residential care home (this does not include university halls of residence)
- Those who receiving carers allowance or who are the main carers of elderly or disabled.
- Healthcare workers
- Poultry workers
Most patients who require a vaccination will receive an invitation letter to attend one of the sessions. If you feel you have been missed please contact the practice.
